Puberty

Puberty is the name for when your body starts to develop and change. Puberty can start between the ages of 7 and 13 and lasts several years. Some people start puberty earlier or later – everyone is different. Puberty can last even until the age of 20. Throughout puberty, hormones in your body cause changes that are completely normal. Some changes that you might notice include growing taller, developing breasts, growing body hair, starting your period, experiencing discharge and other vaginal fluid, and changes to your skin. It is important to remember that not everyone’s body changes in the same way, and some will change faster or slower than others.
